PENNFLAT is commonly used in the following projects.

1. Railway, highway, municipal road, roofing, bridge deck, tunnel, underground waterproof engineering.

2. Water conservancy construction, sewage treatment engineering, landfill engineering.

3. Chemical acid and alkali treatment tank and other environmental engineering impervious and corrosion resistant liner use.

1. Surface Preparation

Before installing the EVA waterproof membrane, the tunnel walls and floor need to be properly cleaned. This includes removing any existing coatings, smoothing out rough areas, and ensuring the surface is dry and free of debris. A well-prepared surface helps the membrane adhere securely.

2. Primer Application

A primer is usually applied to the prepared surface to improve adhesion between the EVA waterproof membrane and the substrate. The primer needs to cure for a specified period before moving on to the next step.

3. Membrane Installation

Next, the EVA waterproof membrane is attached to the primed surface using adhesive or heat welding. The membrane is rolled out and cut to fit the required dimensions, ensuring there are no wrinkles or air bubbles during installation for a secure fit.

4. Sealing the Seams

The seams between adjacent EVA waterproof membrane sheets must be sealed to prevent water infiltration. This can be done using heat welding or a separate sealing tape.

5. Backfilling

Once the EVA waterproof membrane is installed and inspected, the tunnel can be backfilled with soil or other materials as needed to provide structural support.
